1. Overlook - overlooking the headwaters of the Carmel River
2. Big Pine Ridge - This heads out of the wilderness toward the east, an accidentally turn off the trail
3. Madrone tree - this slippery madrone was probably the largest I have ever seen
4. Headwaters of the Carmel River - this sight is worth the entire trip to see this secluded section of the river carved into granite
5. River Crossing - we had numerous river crossings in May/early June
6. Pine Creek in the Pine Valley - the water erosion had carved grooves in the rock
7. Pine Valley - finally, we reached this secluded meadow, seemingly in paradise
8. Wildflowers - bright colors like this Indian Paintbrush abound in the spring
9. Coastal Redwood - a majestic greeting to hike into these scattered groves
