Schedule - Leave Friday morning traveling to Saratoga, quick brunch, up to Castle Rock State Park (SP), then solo hike through towering virgin redwood forest into Big Basin S.P. Camp near Felton at Henry Cowell S.P. Next morning early morning hike through Cowell Ancient Grove and meander along San Lorenzo River. Then into Santa Cruz, out to historic Wilder Ranch and perhaps end the day with a visit to the U.C. Aquarium and eat group meal (pizza). Sunday - early hike at Pogonip hiking trails above Santa Cruz, tour UC Santa Cruz campus and finish with breakfast in Santa Cruz. Return Sunday afternoon.
