Pacific Crest Trail Henry Coe Caribou Wilderness

Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) - Here are 10 photographs and a brief write up on each picture. The photographs were taken from Tuolumne Meadows (Yosemite) to 115 miles north near Ebbett's Pass.

Henry Coe State Park - This is Northern California's largest state park and well within the reach of the San Francisco Bay Area. Yet it is world's apart from it, a tucked away hinterland reminiscent of rural California teeming with wildlife in the clear silence of the morning.

Caribou Wilderness - If you really want to get away from noisy leaf blowers and even jets, come to this part of California. Just east of Mt. Lassen and situated near the quaint little town of Chester, here is where the Cascade Mountain Range begins and the Sierra-Nevada Mountain Range ends. Volcanic landscapes dominate. The Caribou Wilderness contains many easy, flat hikes with short access to numerous shallow lakes.
